WHE@SUSTAIN is an innovation project promoted by Barilla, co-funded by the Emilia-Romagna Region, aimed at soil regeneration and the enhancement of agrobiodiversity along the wheat supply chain through advanced digital decision support tools.

In a context of growing focus on environmental and socio-economic aspects, the project aims to foster the transition towards agricultural models that are more resilient to climate change and based on a more efficient management of natural resources.

Soil Carbon Monitoring: Implementation of a Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) monitoring system based on satellite data and development of a SOC Analytics Dashboard integrated into the AgroSat and Barilla Farming platforms.

Agricultural Biodiversity: Development of a platform for collecting data on habitat, species, and territorial biodiversity to calculate a representative farm index.

Regenerative Practices: Implementation and evaluation of sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices in a pilot farm, with an analysis of their productive and environmental effects.

Cooperation and Dissemination: Cooperation activities among partners and dissemination of project results to farms and stakeholders.
