Low Carbon Sheep Farming: Innovation becomes Practice – June 26, 2020

A WEBCONFERENCE entitled “Low Carbon Sheep Farming: innovation becomes practice” will take place on June 26th from 11.00 to 13.00. The event is part of the communication and dissemination activities of the SheepToShip LIFE project, of which IBE-CNR is the lead partner.

SheepToShip LIFE is a five-year project (July 2016 – July 2021), co-financed by the EU LIFE 2014-2020 program, which aims to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of the Sardinian sheep dairy industry by 20% in 10 years, through the identification and application of eco-innovative techniques.

The Web Conference aims to take stock of the progress of the project and intends to contribute to the debate on rural development strategies aimed at promoting the environmental sustainability of sheep production systems. In particular, a comparison will be proposed on the key tools of the National Strategic Plan for Rural Development 2021-2027 (PSN), with the aim of evaluating the replicability of SheepToShip LIFE good practices from the regional to the national and European scale.

The virtual conference will be hosted on the Adobe Connect WebMeeting platform and live streaming on Live.cnr.it in Italian and English will be handled by CNR.
