On the occasion of the 26th edition of the International Wood Machining Seminar (IWMS26), the scientific poster was presented as part of the DigiMedFor project activities, entitled:
“Early wood quality assessment for a better use of the forest resource – The DigiMedFor Project”,
by Michela Nocetti, Giovanni Aminti, Michele Brunetti, Giovanni Fontani, Simo Kivimaki, Timo Rouvinen, and Luigi Saulino.
The contribution from the colleagues aims to develop and integrate advanced digital tools for more sustainable, efficient, and intelligent forest resource management in the Mediterranean context.
The poster illustrates an innovative approach for early wood quality assessment, a key element to optimize the entire forest supply chain—from forest management to industrial processing—promoting greater valorization of the raw material.
Participating in IWMS26 was an important opportunity for exchange with the international scientific community, confirming the central role of dialogue between research, technology, and sustainability. We thank everyone who took part in the project, the colleagues who contributed to the presented work, and a heartfelt thank you to the IWMS26 organizers for the opportunity to share and grow.
